Maryborough's public toilets offer a mixed bag of experiences. On the positive side, many are exceptionally clean (Anzac Park Public Toilet, Public Toilets on Bazaar Street), accessible for wheelchair users (Public Amenities on Aberdeen Ave, Public Toilet near the skatepark), and conveniently located near parks and attractions. The Cistern Chapel is a unique and highly-rated tourist attraction with beautiful artwork and friendly volunteers. Several offer 24/7 availability (Anzac Park Public Toilet, Public Amenities on South Street). However, some drawbacks include limited opening hours at the Cistern Chapel, renovations at the Rose Garden Public Toilet (currently only a portable toilet is available), and the cold, harsh environment of the Public Toilet near the skatepark. Some facilities, like the Public Amenities on South Street, have basic amenities like single-ply toilet paper. The stainless steel toilet bowls at the Public Toilets on Bazaar Street can also be uncomfortably cold in winter.
